Volume control

You can't call anything "Professional Quality" until it has volume control.

Add volume control, and I might be able to play this game in order to give it a real review.

Hmmm

I'm writing a review of your one-button game just so that I can be honored with an insulting reply about how I haven't submitted anything yet.

Also, your game lacks gameplay. And strategy. And creativity. My constructive criticism would be to consider what makes a game fun and design a game around a fun concept rather than just around "jumping over stuff." That's not sarcastic by the way.

Hmm

Can't review this because the volume is ridiculous. Let us turn off/down the music and sounds. My ears bled.

Sorry, would honestly like to give an honest review but I can't play this game at the volume it's at.

Terrible physics design

Why is it that when I run into objects, such as walls, I bounce off of them? That makes literally no sense.

And, this wouldn't be such a big deal, except you take fall damage when falling from high places. Result: bounce off object you were jumping towards, fall down and die. Over and over and over again.

Really, this game flows terribly, and the physics feels more choppy than the Atlantic in hurricane katrina. It's a pretty simple and decent concept for a game, but the execution needs some serious work, and the programming needs major fine tuning.

Great

I felt obligated to review this game, simply because so many other games on the main page SUCK and I wanted to review something that didn't.

This game is extremely well designed and very very creative. I can't say I've ever seen a game that ran quite like this, so I'm very impressed with the originality.

The controls are simple, yet allow some complexity of actions. Well done there.

The only minor complaints I can make: the attacking is so simple, that sometimes I get beat by an enemy because all I can really do is jump and smash. The enemies could be more easy to predict and therefore combat.

Also, the hover button could probably have been a diff button than the jump button, simply because sometimes I mean to hover, accidentally let go of jump, and then slam down plummeting to my death in a pit I wanted to hover over.

All in all: good job.

Good Idea, Bad Execution

Great idea. Everyone loves a freerunning simulator.

One problem.

Free running is two things: complex, and fluid. This game fails to adhere to either of those principles.

The controls are unresponsive and sloppy, the game often seems to decide to do whatever it wants rather than what I input, and instead of feeling like I'm free running, I feel like I'm watching a three year old play super mario brothers.

With the sloppy controls and bad game physics, I'm going to have to dock serious points from this game. Sorry, but you should have programmed it better.

Great, but one problem that needs fixing ASAP

There's one problem with the physics here that makes building even remotely realistic bridges nigh impossible at times. You should be able to place connected points in the middle of solid beams. Otherwise, the problem arises that the physics puts stress on the joint, rather than the beam itself, and causing it to collapse, which makes the entire idea of putting support beams almost useless.

That's my only real criticism. A solid beam should be able to have another beam connected to the center of it, rather than having to make two smaller beams that connect in the middle.

Awesome

So simple but so challenging. Well done. I love it. Good control set up and good transition from game to game. Well done.

meh

Seemed almost entertaining except that if you do the non-endless ones, you aren't rated in presses against people doing the same time as you. Endless ought to be a stamina mode measuring presses per second and then the highest presses per second are rated for the length of time that someone went. Then the others should be speed rounds that are judged against only ppl who did those times and purely by the number of presses.

SurpassArcade responds:

Thanks for the review. I did think of the presses per second, not sure exactly why I didnt implement it. But for the "speed rounds", thats exactly what the 15, 30, 45, and 60 second options are.

Meh

Meh. Entertaining once but nothing new or special. Good job but nothing spectacular.
