WOOOO

I am SOOOO proud of the work you did. Amazing man, simply amazing. I can assure you it's gonna be one of my alltime favorite songs, hands down. You're an amazing artist and I thank you SO much for giving me this opportunity. Glad to have been a part of your musical career. Thanks again. Fantastic job. Woot. I'm having trouble speaking right now cause I'm going nuts. Thanks xD

Setu-Firestorm responds:

Your very welcome.

Hey, I'm sure you remember me lol. I'm becoming one of your biggest fans here lol. I really really like this piece, you did a fantastic job converting the songs to piano, especially in transforming them from highly monophonic pieces to polyphonic and homophonic tunes. Very well done. My one criticism is on a few parts the rhythm is just ever so slightly off. Great job though.

Setu-Firestorm responds:

Thanks. That rhythm off-ness is due to the fact that playing piano in realtime and keeping a tempo haven't been my most polished traits. Most of my pieces are step-recorded (note tones and lengths plotted out on a graph) to remedy that problem.

Thanks though. I'm glad you like it.

Good

I definitely like it. The combination of the sort of classical piano melodies, jazzy rhythm and solos, and the sort of hip-hop reminiscient drums makes for a very unique sound. Definitely pleasing to the ears. I really like the freestyle piano solo, well done there.

Amazing Amazing Amazing Amazing. What can I say? Great instrument choice - I love piano and strings in rock music. Such a great choice. Singing and lyrics are fantastic too. Keep up the great work.

Brilliant!

Absolutely fantastic, wonderful, amazing. I love the original version but this is simply amazing as well. The piano sounds awesome, such beautiful melodies. The lyrics are awesome in both versions, and your singing is fantastic in this version. I love it. Bravo! Keep me updated to any songs you post here, cause so far I love your stuff.

Setu-Firestorm responds:

Thank you

Great

Very well done. The music has a nice, ominous feel, and sounds crisp and cool. The guitar and other instruments were very well chosen and composed. I really really like the female singer, she gives the song a pretty freaky and powerful feal. The solo is fantastic. My one point of criticism is that the singer's lines could use a tiny bit more variation in melody. Also, I find myself imagining a male backup during the chorus at the end of the song (before and after the solo.) You may want to try that out, up to you. All around, well done. Bravo!

MaestroRage responds:

Heehee, thank you very much. We work very hard on music, and we love it dearly. You know, I've been trying to get Ragey to sing with me for YEARS now. >=/ He won't sing for me! But don't worry. One day I'll get him to do it, his voice is lovely. Thanks for listening!

Nice

I like it a ton. Has a cool feel to it, a nice emotional level. I like the steady escalation, the rising action as the song goes on. Very very very good. Keep up the good work.

Sad

It's sad to think such a fantastic song as What Hurts the Most, BY RASCAL FLATTS, is now known only as Cascadia's song, even though she only COVERED IT. Not to mention did an awful job compared to Rascal Flatts. Personally I think this version isn't very good either, besides the fact that it isn't Rascall Flatts. First of all, the song is a deep emotional song, and the dance beat really ruins the feel of the song. It takes away from the entire purpose the lyrics had provided. The fact that people review this as "uplifting" proves that point undeniably. Also, parts of it are overdone, and the rythm doesn't go with the melody of the song at many parts. Sorry, but I think this is a sad rendition of a great song...

Outstanding

Great mood and tone, I love the somber sound and the sort of sad image it paints. The melodies are extremely well written, however a couple notes here and there seem a tad off. Otherwise, very very good.

MJTTOMB responds:

Thanks. :P

Good

Overall I like it. It's very well written, has good transitions, uses a good combination of instruments, and its melodies are catchy. Good, though not breathtaking. All I can say is it's missing the "wow" factor.

MaestroRage responds:

a nice sturdy honest opinion never hurt anybody, and I can respect you for it. True I feel that this song doesn't BOOM an awesome vibe, largely due to it being a learning piece as well as a difficult cultural mix. I am pleased with how it turned out, and expect to do more work in this area.

Thank you for your honest review, I am glad you liked it.
